The things kids say...

Scene: Early morning, everyone is piled into our bed. Gray and Eli are sitting next to each other and Eli is getting a little grabby.
Gray: No, Eli, MY truck. (pause) NO, Eli, dat's MY EAR!

Scene: At the museum, Gray is getting tired of walking
Gray: Mama, hold you?
I pick him up.
Gray: Now, walk!
Me: Are you tired?
Gray: nods
Me: Do you want to go home?
Gray: No. Wanna see DINOSAURS!

Scene: Leaving the museum, we are looking for an elevator. Earlier we had to take a small, creepy elevator which kind of freaked Gray out.
Gray: I'm a-scared of alligators!

Scene: Phil is talking to Gray about what we did today.
Phil: What was your favorite part about today?
Gray: Ummm.... haircut? (The irony of this is that we had to physically hold him, sobbing, in the chair while the poor guy tried to cut this moving target of curls and snot.)

Eee! Penny says, "Hold you?" too, when she wants me to pick her up. And she hasn't learned "favorite" either. I think it's a chance to talk about the most traumatic event of the day...
